Thursday Chicken Smokeathon


Well, I don’t know if the chickens actually thank you since they were slow wood-smoked for four hours, but we really thank you for a successful Thursday Chicken Smokeathon! It was great meeting all you new people today, along with our regulars . . . we are blessed to have all of you as customers . . . you’re the best! Even if the chickens don’t like the idea so much. Please stay in touch and let us know what you like (and even what you don’t! Heaven forbid!) about not only our smoked chicken, but all our products as well. We always want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to provide you with the best Texas-style pit-smoked barbecue in the San Francisco Bay Area! And to everyone who dropped by after we ran out, we’re sorry! We’re going to do everything we can to serve more of you every Thursday. Thank you for your patience and support! To the UPS guys who came by for barbecue at the end of a long shift only to discover we were completely out, and then helped us chase down a live chicken trying to make a getaway, thanks for making us laugh so hard. That was hilarious.


The good news is we should now be back on a more “regular and dependable” Thursday schedule, but always be sure and check our online calendar at the beginning of the week to see if we plan to be cooking that Thursday, and what exactly we will be cooking. For now, the plan is to return to baby-back pork ribs next week, with a possible free sampling of our smoked beef brisket, but we’ll have specific details early on in the week. Thanks again to all of you!!
